New Delhi: BCCI has invited applications for the position of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) cricket head-on Tuesday and with that many rumours have started making to the internet.

It is being said that current head coach Ravi Shastri with all other coaches is all set to move on after the T20 World Cup 2021. It is also being reported that NCA head Rahul Dravid can get a chance to get a bigger role with the senior team in the near future.

But as per sources, it is too early to talk about this.

As per reports, BCCI office-bearers will interact with Ravi Shastri and the team during the ongoing series in England and if there is an issue about the current head not wanting to continue then there will be discussions around that as well.

Ravi Shastri

Shastri has already informed some board members that he and some other coaches are planning to part ways with the national team when his contract ends as some of the other support staff are already in talks with IPL teams.

As far now Rahul Dravid is seen as the first choice to take over if Shartri decides to part ways. After the recent Sri Lanka series Dravid has said that he hadn’t given the idea of being the full-time coach of the national team much thought.

Is Rahul Dravid - The finest India U-19 coach ever?

BCCI in its offer for the NCA cricket head has said that the selected person will report to the BCCI secretary and will get a two-year contract. They will have to supervise 25-30 people and 12 will report directly to the head.
