New Delhi: The FIFA World Cup 2022 starts on November 20 and there is football fever in the air. In case you are planning to travel to Qatar and watch a game, you need something more than a ticket. The last-minute ticket sales began on September 27 and even if one gets a ticket, one needs a Hayya Card to go to Qatar and watch the game. Without a Hayya Card, no spectator will be allowed inside a football stadium.
A Hayya Card is a smart technology provided by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) and a combination of a valid Match Ticket with the Hayya Card will only permit access to a stadium. It may also provide other Hayya Services like transportation including travel on the Doha Metro, public and tournament buses and trams.
How to apply for Hayya Card if you are an international ticketholder?
- Visit Qatar2022.qa/Hayya or open the Qatar 2022 app.
- Create and Hayya account or log in using your existing FIFA.com account.
- Select your applicant category from the given options.
- Upload your personal photo taken within 12 months of application. Read all the rules and terms before sharing your personal data.
- Upload a copy of the main page of your passport so that the system can fill in your details. You may also fill in the details manually.
- Submit your contact number and emergency contact details.
- Review and submit the application.
- To receive final approval, confirm your accommodation plans by either booking accommodation at Qatar2022.qa/book, family/friend booking as Hosts via Hayya, or registering a 24-hour visit via Hayya.
How to apply for Hayya Card if you are a local ticketholder?
- Visit Qatar2022.qa/Hayya or open the Qatar 2022 app.
- Create and Hayya account or log in using your existing FIFA.com account.
- Select your applicant category from the given options.
- Upload your personal photo taken within 12 months of application. Read all the rules and terms before sharing your personal data.
- Enter your Qatar ID number and date of birth to allow the system to autofill your details.
- Enter your phone number.
- Review and submit the application.
