“I have been thinking about what I can say…”: Ravi Ashwin’s wife Prithi Narayanan puts up emotional retirement post on Insta

New Delhi: Former Indian off-spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin’s sudden retirement has created a whirlpool in the cricket world. The right-arm off-spinner received a heartfelt tribute from various sections of the sporting world with former spinner Harbhajan Singh to current head coach Gautam Gambhir writing heartfelt tributes on the social media.

However, given the kind of a family man Ash is, a heartfelt message from his wife Prithi will always be special! Time and again, Ashwin has elaborated on the role played by his wife Prithi Narayanan and two daughters in his life. So, after Ashwin decided to bid goodbye to an illustrious cricket career, Prithi revealed in a long emotional post about what it was like to see one of the greatest cricketers of the generation from such close quarters. Ashwin decided to retire from international cricket with two Tests left in the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

Who is Prithi Narayanan?

Prithi Narayanan (after marriage Ashwin) is the childhood sweetheart of Ravichandran Ashwin. She keeps a low profile, preferring to let her husband’s cricketing achievements take center stage. However, her support, whether as a wife or a mother, remains the bedrock of Ashwin’s success.
