New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India Secretary Jay Shah is all set to replace Greg Barclays as the new chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC), the apex board of cricket. Although the formal announcement from ICC is yet to come, internal sources have confirmed the news to various media outlets.

Barclay who was the ICC Chairman for two terms made his intentions clear when he revealed that he had no wish to run for the position of Chairman for the third time. According to an official ICC source, “ICC chair Greg Barclay confirmed to the board that he will not stand for a third term and will step down from the post when his current tenure finishes at the end of November…” Greg Barclay had himself replaced Imran Khwaja who was the interim chairman of the ICC.
