New Delhi: Tournament favourites, Team India has lived up to their potential and stormed the semifinals. After exacting revenge on Australia, the men in blue now face England in yet another repeat of the semifinals of the 2022 T20 WC. Experts and cricket commentators have predicted that this time things might tick in India’s favour as they wait for 17 years for their next T20 World Cup!
India’s last win in the shortest format of the game was back in 2007 at the inaugural edition of the competition. Since then the men in blue have come close in the competition but remained far. Last time, under the guidance of MS Dhoni and the fabulous form of Virat Kohli, the men in blue came so close to the cup only to miss out in the end to our little Islanders!

Seeing the meaty blow India pulled over Australia, cricket experts like Sreesanth and ex-Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar have forecasted an easy win for India. Sreesanth has ruled out any possibility of India’s defeat in the ongoing tournament. In his defence, the former Indian cricketer has said that Rohit is leading a band of brothers who are playing as a unit under his command.

Sreesanth has given the example of Rashid Khan to prove his point who is scripting history along with his Afghan teammates. Likewise, speaking about India’s performance former Pakistani star Shoaib Akhtar has also shared his words of encouragement, “Well done India, this is your World Cup now….”
