
New Delhi: New Zealand will take on the 2016 champions of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, the West Indies Women’s cricket team in the second semifinal. The White Ferns who had a decent tournament throughout the group stages will make it to their third final if they manage to beat the West Indies.
Sophie Devine-led New Zealand finished at the second spot in the Group A points table at the end of the tournament’s groups stage. They won three matches while losing only one in their four games. Meanwhile, the West Indies Women’s team were at the top of the Group B standings, winning three matches while losing only one in their campaign’s four matches.
