New Delhi: India defeated Bangladesh in the 3rd and final ODI of a 3-match series on Saturday at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. Chasing a mammoth total of 410, Bangladesh crumbled on 182 for 10 wickets in just 34 overs. From Bangladesh, any player could not score even 50 runs.

Only Shakib-al-Hasan showed some fight as he scored 42 runs off 50 balls. Shardul Thakur snatched 3 wickets as he gave just 30 runs in his 5 overs. While Axar Patel and Umran Malik both grabbed 2-2 wickets.

Before the start of the match, Bangladesh’s Captain Litton Das won the toss and invited the visitors to bat first. KL Rahul led the Indian team and grabbed the call with open hands as Ishan Kishan with a double hundred helped set up India a gigantic total in front of the hosts.
Virat Kohli also scored his 44th ODI century and played a remarkable inning. Both Virat and Ishan set up a huge partnership of 290 runs for the 3rd Wicket as India scored 409/8 in 50 overs. Ishan scored the fastest double century in One Day International history.

With 24 fours and 10 sixes, he smashed 210 runs off 131 balls. On the other hand, Virat Kohli had 113 runs off 91 balls and played a stunning inning.
Notably, India won the final match by 227 runs but Bangladesh clinched the ODI series by 2-1. The previous 2 matches were also nail bitting which turned out to be in the favour of Bangladesh.
