New Delhi: After suffering a defeat in the T20I series, Harmapreet Kaur-led India is aiming for a good start in the ODIs against England women. The first ODI of the three-match series will take place at the County Ground in Hove on Sunday, September 18. This series will be the farewell game for India’s veteran Jhulan Goswami.

India’s performance in the T20I series against England was not well as they lost 1-2. England missing their three senior players, including injured skipper Heather Knight, was a good chance for India to register a good win over England.

This series is part of the ICC Women’s Championship and is vital for qualifying for the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup. This is the second assignment in the 50-over format for Harmanpreet Kaur after she was appointed as the captain in the format after the retirement of Mithali Raj.
