
New Delhi: India and Bangladesh supporters have been embroiled in a nasty scuffle which has resulted in a Bangladeshi fan being rushed to the hospital after he sustained minor injuries. The fan, (the popular name ‘Tiger Robi‘)was allegedly pushed and heckled by the Indian fans, post which the national flag of Bangladesh which was carried by him was snatched from him.
Eyewitnesses to the entire incident remarked that Robi suffered some injury due to physical harassment. Post that he was taken to the hospital by the police. Furthermore, on closer examination of the entire incident, it was found that the Bangladeshi superfan had sustained injuries in his back and ribs. Upon being asked by officials, the fan remarked that he was punched by the Indian fans in the abdomen.

After being admitted to the hospital, a UPCA official remarked-
We do not know if he was hit by somebody. We have a constable in that stand to keep an eye on the fans. We could not understand what he was saying. Probably he had pain. The ambulance was taking some time to arrive so the in-stadia medical team took him to a nearby facility…
Robi unwelcomed in Chennai also!
