New Delhi: Bangladesh has announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming white ball series against India under the captaincy of Najmul Hossain Shanto. The T20 series is scheduled to start from October 6th at the Gwalior stadium. Amongst the recent call-ups, one name, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, remains ever important. The right-arm all-rounder had a fine outing with both bat and ball in the red ball arena in Pakistan.

Mehidy has consistently performed in Tests and ODIs for Bangladesh in over a year, which has propelled his return to T20Is 14 months since his last appearance in the shortest format. Moreover, with Shakib slowly stepping out of the cricketing scenario for Bangladesh, Mehidy is expected to become the leading all-rounder on the side.

The three T20Is between Bangladesh and India will be played at Gwalior, New Delhi, and Hyderabad on October 6, 9, and 12 respectively. The T20I series opener will be the first time Gwalior’s Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium hosts an international game.
