“Inhone lockdown me to bas Anushka….” Sunil Gavaskar’s insensitive comment on Kohli – Anushka Sharma angers fans

“Inhone lockdown me to bas Anushka ki gendon ki practice ki hai,”said Sunil Gavaskar.

New Delhi: Legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar is being trolled badly for his controversial comment on air while commentating during the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab on Thursday. The former India skipper is facing severe criticism for his comments on Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma.

Dragging a player’s wife while criticising Virat was definitely not the right choice for Sunil Gavaskar. The former cricketer-turned-commentator took a dig at Virat Kohli and said that he only trained against Anushka’s balls during the lockdown.

“Inhone lockdown me to bas Anushka ki gendon ki practice ki hai,”said Sunil Gavaskar.

Kohli dropped his KXIP counterpart KL Rahul twice — once in the 17th over at deep square-leg when he was batting on 83 and then again in the 18th over when he was on 89.

The KXIP skipper then went on to shatter a few record on the way to a 69-ball 132 — the highest scored by an Indian in an IPL game.

Meanwhile, the fans were not at all happy with his comment. While some called his comment ‘double-meaning’, some slammed him for getting personal.

This comes when Royal Challengers Bangalore didn’t have a good outing against Kings XI Punjab on Thursday as they lost by 97 runs at the Dubai Cricket Stadium. Skipper Virat Kohli made no bones about the fact that it was a bad day in the office not just for the team, but also for him individually.
