From Ruturaj Gaikwad to Umran Malik, there have been many young talents, who have knocked on the doors of the Indian team with their performance in the IPL.

New Delhi: The biggest festival in cricket is about to begin on March 31 and so is a chance for young players to make their case for selection to their national sides. From Ruturaj Gaikwad to Umran Malik, there have been many young talents, who have knocked on the doors of the Indian team with their performance in the IPL.

Here is a list of 5 uncapped Indian players to look out for in IPL 2023:

1. Mukesh Kumar (DC)

Delhi Capitals will have high hopes for Bengal’s pace bowling sensation, who made his case and even got selected for the Indian squad. The pacer has had a cracker of a Ranji season as he looked unstoppable against formidable batting lineups. Seaming the ball on Indian pitches is a skill he possesses and has picked 25 wickets in 23 T20s.

While he got into the Indian squad, Mukesh Kumar is still an uncapped player.

2. Tilak Varma (MI)

After winning the U-19 World Cup with the Indian side, he had a great season with Mumbai Indians last year. Tilak scored 397 runs at an average of 36.09 and a strike rate of 131, and was the second-highest run scorer for his franchise.

MI bought him for Rs 1.7 crore and their investment seems to be worthwhile.

3. Yash Dhull (DC)

India’s U-19 sensation has been doing great in the domestic circuit. Apart from his famous double ton and a ton in the Irani Cup, he has 363 runs in eight T20 games at a strike rate of about 131.

Yash Dhull could not make his IPL debut last time, but this season, given the form he is in, he is one of the players to look out for.

4. Narayan Jagadeesan (KKR)

Groomed under CSK, N Jagadeesan was bought by KKR for Rs 90 lakhs in the 2023 auction. The batter has broken records in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and had a great T20 season in the domestic circuit. He has 1064 runs in 46 innings, at a strike rate of 118, to his name.

His five consecutive List-A centuries and highest Vijay Hazare score of 277 has made him a domestic batting sensation. KKR will hope that he can replicate the performance in IPL too.

5. Ravisrininvasan Sai Kishore (GT)

R Sai Kishore has made his name with a stunning performance in the Ranji Trophy. The spinner has done well and picked wickets regularly. Sai Kishore has 57 wickets in 49 T20 innings to his name.

Defending champions Gujarat Titans would want him to do something what Yash Dayal did for them in the last season.
