Jasprit Bumrah shares mental changes tips ahead of PINK BALL test match against Sri Lanka

The first-ever-day-night Test match with a pink ball was played between New Zealand and Australia in 2015 in Australia’s Adelaide Oval stadium.

New Delhi: Indian Team is set to play its third Day-Night Test against Sri Lanka on Saturday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. However, the interesting thing about the match will be a pink ball. Both the teams are set to play match with a pink ball instead of the usual red ball.

The match will be held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Karnataka’s Bengaluru.

Notably, team India played the last time Day-Night Test match with a pink ball in Ahmedabad in February 2021. Meanwhile, England was the rival of the team in the match.

Needs mental changes ahead of match

Ahead of the pink ball test match, BCCI shared a video of vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah on Friday. In the video, Bumrah shared his experience on the mental changes that need to be made for a Pink Ball Test.

”See as I told you before there, mental changes that you have to make because as children going out when we played cricket, we have not played a lot pink ball matches. We are not used to catching the pink ball bowling, with the pink ball as batters playing against the pink ball.”

”So it is a mental adjustment, you don’t play a lot of pink-ball cricket. Whatever little games we have played, we are trying to take some feedback from those games and trying to replicate it,” added Bhumrah in the video.

Earlier, the BCCI also shared some photos of Indian players on March 9. The photos show that the Indian team is doing practice with the pink ball.
