After completing his schooling, Bishnoi decided to quit his studies for cricket, which did not go well with his father, who was a teacher in a government school. He said that it was his coach who convinced his father by telling him that Ravi was really talented. He also told about having supportive friends who used to help him with cheating in exams.

He often gets comments that he looks like Bollywood actor Siddharth Malhotra. Talking about the same, he said that he feels good about it, but Kiara is gone now. When asked about films, he said that he is a fan of comedy movies while his brother is a huge Shah Rukh Khan fan and has named their house Mannat.
