
New Delhi: Pakistan reached a commanding position on day 2 of the test match against Bangladesh. On a difficult bowling wicket, the host team posted a mammoth 448 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. However, a controversial decision from Pakistani captain Shan Masood has left the fans bemused. With Rizwan nearing a well-deserved double century, the Pakistani decided to declare the inning at 448.
The Pakistani batsman was shocked as well as frustrated after nearing the 200-run mark, his innings came agonisingly ended just 29 runs away from the double-century. Rizwan has never scored a double-century, his highest score being 171 runs in this inning. Furthermore, Rizwan was building a strong partnership with Vice-captain Saud Shakeel.
Rizwan and Shakeel’s partnership stabilised the ship for Pakistan as well as put the Bangladeshi bowlers on the back foot who could not capitalise on the greenish top of Rawalpindi. However, Masood’s decision has led the team to slippery ice.

What did Shan Masood say?
In his defence Masood said, the Pakistani skipper revealed that Rizwan was told beforehand, an hour ahead that there were chances that the innings would be declared. The tug of war is going on in the back door dressing room of the Pakistani cricket team. The main objective will however be to win the game.
