Pakistani fans shower ‘love and support’ to Indian Men Hockey team after tragic defeat in semis

Many Pakistani hockey lovers had been showering there support for the Indian hockey team before the match started, on the microblogging site twitter.

New Delhi: Indian Men’s hockey team lost their semifinal match against the 2018 world champions Belgium at the Tokyo Olympics, missing out on a chance to make their first Olympic final in over four decades.

The last time India had played the men’s hockey final at the Olympics was back in 1980 when the team had won the gold medal.

However, in a rare gesture, hockey fans from neighbouring nation Pakistan have come forward to support the Indian team and offered their love and support for the defeat while also congratulating the team on their performance.

Many Pakistani hockey lovers have been showering their support for the Indian hockey team before the match started, on the microblogging site Twitter.

A twitter user wrote, “Watching from pakistan, with best wishes to team India”. 

Another wrote, “Best wishes for Team India Go Team Blue! Love from Pakistan”.
