PKL 2023: Puneri Paltan and Jaipur Pink Panthers put on dominant shows on Wednesday to cement their lead in points table.

New Delhi: Leg five of the Pro Kabaddi League, season 10, has finally come to an end, and it bears witness to a number of shuffling in the points table.

Noida’s Noida Indoor Stadium hosted the final two matches of leg five of the Pro Kabaddi League season 10, as Haryana Steelers went toe-to-toe with Jaipur Pink Panthers, while the hosts UP Yoddhas took on the table toppers Puneri Paltan.

In the first match of the day, Jaipur Pink Panthers edged past the Haryana Steelers in the final eight minutes of the match to finish the match with a score line of 45 to 34 in their favour.

Steelers and Panthers were running toe-to-toe until the 32nd minute of the game, but the Panthers completely dominated the final eight minutes and denied the Steelers even a one-point chance from the match by registering an 11-point win.

Arjun Deshwal (14 raid points) and Reza Mirbaghari (7 tackle points), were the heroes for Panthers in the night.

In the second match of the day, Puneri Paltan continued their dominant run in the season as they defeated the hosts UP Yoddhas by nine points to cement their place at the top of the points table.

Paltan was dominant from the very first minute, as despite a brilliant defensive outing by Nitesh and Sumit of Yoddhas, the match finished with a final scoreline of 41 to 30, in Paltan’s favour.

Aslam Inamdar and Mohammedreza Chiyaneh were the leaders of Paltan’s attack on Wednesday night.

PKL season 10 will have a rest day on Thursday before the tournament switches to leg six in Mumbai.
