New Delhi: Few people dream of a quixotic “American life” and risk crossing the high seas to achieve it. However, Saurabh Netravalkar is not the kind of a guy to be bogged down by challenges. Netravalkar overcame the obstacles and came to the USA in search of a good life and a good job.
Netravalkar’s story is the everyday household story of a middle-class family who in search of opportunities people have traversed far and wide. People have gone far and wide to look for opportunities whenever they have found one!

A man of many shades…
A techie from the financial capital of India, Netravalkar is a man of many shades. When he is not defending crucial runs in powerplays or scalping wickets of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, he goes back to his IT job at Oracle or plays ukulele.
Saurabh Netravalkar got the best of all worlds.
U19 cricket for India, a degree from the USA, a lucrative job in tech, and a high profile win over Pakistan, in which he took 2/18 and bowled the game winning super over.

Saurabh Netravalkar is a pass out of the Sardar Patel Institut of Technology which is part of the University of Mumbai. Post that he took up the position of Consulting Software Engineer in Swasth India. Subsequently, he earned a prestigious scholarship at the prestigious IVY College- Cornell University. Saurabh seized the opportunity with both hands and took up the master’s position at Cornell.

Post his completion of his master’s, Netravalkar joined software giants Oracle as a member of their Technical Staff in 2016. Since then, he has been in the same firm. It’s been 8 years with Oracle and during this time he has been promoted from Member of technical staff to senior member of technical staff to principal member of technical staff.

Saurabh has taken the long and arduous journey from the back alleys of Mumbai to the lights and show of New York. However, cricket has been an anchor for Saurabh throughout his life. do you know his involvement in cricket was not only on-field but off-field as well?
While the whole world acknowledges the talent of Saurabh Netravalkar today. I sleep with a smile on my face that he has finally gotten his due. Man took a 5-fer in 2010 U19 WC for India a decade ago. Every story has its time.

Yes, while in India, Saurabh developed an Android app called CricDeCode back in 2015. The app helped grassroots-level cricketers by providing data filters and graphing tools by providing a detailed SWAT analysis. Saurabh’s innovation has led to a perfect amalgamation of tech and sports.
