New Delhi: Minutes before the fate of Kashmiri separatist Yasin Malik is decided by a Delhi court, Indian cricketer Amit Mishra blasted the Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi for sympathizing with the terror mastermind and speaking against the Indian justice system.
Yasin Malik, the Kashmiri separatist & founder of the Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has been declared guilty in a terror funding case and judgment will be delivered on him shortly. The NIA has demanded that the pro-terror face of the valley be given the death penalty for his gruesome offenses.
Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi came out in support of Yasin Malik and said that fabricated charges were made against him and this won’t have an impact on Kashmir’s freedom to struggle. Taking his anti-India stance further, he urged United Nations to intervene in the matter.
India’s continued attempts to silence critical voices against its blatant human rights abuses are futile. Fabricated charges against #YasinMalik will not put a hold on #Kashmir‘s struggle for freedom. Tearing into the Pakistani cricketer, Amit Mishra launched a blistering attack on him for sympathising with the terror sponsor.
Replying to Afridi’s diatribe, Amit Mishra reiterated that the JKLF leader himself pleaded guilty to the charges in court.
Dear @safridiofficial he himself has pleaded guilty in court on record. Not everything is misleading like your birthdate. ???https://t.co/eSnFLiEd0z

“Not everything is misleading like your birthdate,” Amit Mishra replied in a tweet.
Not just Shahid Afridi, there are many Twitter handles from Pakistan raising voice against Yasin Malik’s prosecution. Lot many Pakistani handles have taken to social media to build sympathy for the convicted Kashmiri separatist.
This despite the fact that Malik has himself pleaded guilty of organising funds for terror activities in the valley that included stone pelting on security forces, targeted killing of innocent civilians and waging war against India.
