Shardul Thakur’s kitbag goes missing at Mumbai airport, Harbhajan Singh tries to help

New Delhi: Indian pacer Shardul Thakur’s kitbag went missing at the Mumbai Airport terminal 2. He tweeted about the matter when he could not find his kit in the luggage belt and no staff member was there to help him. Former spinner Harbhajan Singh came forward for help, meanwhile, another airline helped the cricketer.

The incident happened on October 12, when Shardul was travelling with Air India and was at Mumbai Airport. He tweeted, “@airindiain can you send someone to help me at the luggage belt ? Not the first time that my kit bags haven’t arrived and no staff present at the location either !!”

Former cricketer and Shardul’s former Chennai Super Kings teammate Harbhajan Singh came forward and responded by tweeting, “My dear we will make sure you get your bag and our staff will will be there to assist you.. sorry for the inconvenience.. (Ex Airindian Bhajji) we love you. (sic)”

Harbhajan, who is currently a Rajya Sabha MP from Aam Aadmi Party, was an Air India employee during his cricketing days. When he came in to help, it was actually the Spice Jet staff that helped Shardul Thakur to find his luggage. Thakur thanked Bhajji for his help and the kind message, he also informed that he has found his kitbag. He wrote, “@harbhajan_singh Bhajji pa love you tooo (heart emoticon) I got help from @flyspicejet staff.”

Playing in the ODI series against South Africa, Shardul impressed by picking up three wickets especially the crucial 2 for 35 in the first game. He has made a case for himself and is likely to travel to Australia along with Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj.
