New Delhi: The Indian hopes in the upcoming Border Gavaskar have taken a huge hit following the news of Shubman Gill who remains doubtful due to a thumb injury. Gill hurt his left thumb on the second day of India’s intra-squad training match at the WACA.

The right-hand batsman injured his thumb while fielding in the slips and left the field, not to return. It could not be confirmed if the injury will affect Gill’s selection for the first Test, starting November 22 at the Optus Stadium in Perth.
