New Delhi: Vaibhav Suryavanshi has created yet another watershed moment in Indian cricket history by becoming the youngest player to be drafted in List A. Earlier, the left-handed batter became the youngest-ever player to be sold in an Indian Premier League (IPL) auction in November when he was sold to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.1 crore.
Suryavanshi broke the record after making his Vijay Hazare Trophy (India’s domestic one-day tournament) debut for Bihar against Madhya Pradesh on Saturday. Aged at 13 years and 269 days, Vaibhav surpassed the previous record set by Ali Akbar in the 1999/00 season. Ali was aged 14 years and 51 days when he played for Vidarbha.
On the other hand, Suryavanshi continues to break the age records in other spheres of domestic cricket. The left-hander has already become the youngest player player to play a Ranji Trophy and to represent India U19 before this.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi is a young and talented left-hand batsman from the small town of Samastipur, Bihar. Suryavanshi has featured in 5 Ranji Trophy games since his debut in the domestic circuit against Mumbai. Currently, Vaibhav is playing T20s in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Bihar. He recently made his T20 debut against Rajasthan, on November 23.
