Virat Kohli claims 4th ODI wicket after 9 years

Netherlands

Notably, it was after a long gap of 9 years that Kohli picked another wicket (his fourth) in his ODI bowling career in the form of Scott Edward. The ace batter’s last wicket came way back on 31st January 2014 when he dismissed former Kiwi batsman Brandon Mccullam in Wellington. Following that, Virat was unable to get even single wicket in his 12 ODI bowling spells.

Kohli’s Team India will now face their bogey team New Zealand in the first Semi-final of the ICC World Cup 2023. The match will be played on 15th November at Mumbai’s Wankhede stadium where MS Dhoni led men in blue-scripted history by defeating Sri Lanka and lifting their second ODI World Cup title in 2011.
