Similarly, Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife Dhanushree Verma are always in the limelight for being the picture-perfect couple. While currently, Yuzvendra Chahal is playing for Rajasthan Royals in IPL season 16, Dhanushree is a famous dancer and social media influencer.
The duo’s love story has always fascinated the fans. In a recent interview, Yuzvendra Chahal revealed how Dhanushree initially reacted to his marriage proposal.
The leg spinner revealed that he first got talking to Dhanushree during Covid lockdown in 2020.
Chahal said that because of Lockdown, he was able to stay with his family in Gurugram. Away from his regular routine of cricket and fitness, Yuzvendra realized he really wanted to learn dance. That’s when he discovered Dhanushree who used to give online dance lessons.
After the duo got to know each other for two months, the skipper grew closer to Dhanushree. That’s when he popped the question of marriage. He told Humans of Bombay,” I don’t want to waste my time in dating,” and directly asked her to marry him, citing that he is 30 years old.
Dhanushree said no because the couple had never met before. She asked Chahal to meet her first. For the first time, Dhanushree and Chahal met in Mumbai.
The love story reached its destination with the two getting married in December 2020.
In the year 2022, rumors about a possible rife between Dhanushree and Chahal began to float around social media. However, Chahal addressed the speculations of separation saying there is no truth to them.
