New Delhi: Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma was left bemused after Sarfaraz Khan was caught behind in the pink-ball warm-up game against Australia’s Prime Minister’s XI at the Manuka Oval in Canberra on Sunday.
Sarfaraz came out to bat against the Australian Prime Minister’s XI at no. 8 and was able to survive just four deliveries and scored one run before falling victim to Jack Clayton. While India won the match comfortably, the netizens were interested more in the baffled reaction of the Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma.

Was Rohit crying or laughing?
During India’s 44th over when Sarfaraz and Washington Sundar were batting, from the dugout, Rohit was seen asking both the batters to accelerate the innings. However, the Indian batsman tried to push a Clayton delivery towards the leg side but missed it. The ball brushed off the outside edge of his bat and the wicketkeeper made no mistake.
Khan thought that he was not out and was getting ready to face the next ball. However, the umpire raised his finger signalling Sarfaraz out.

That’s when the camera panned towards the Indian camp where Rohit was seen covering his head in disappointment. The baffled reaction went viral on social media with the commentator asking:
Is he laughing or crying? I feel he is laughing….
Meanwhile, a separate battle started on social media between the netizens on whether Sarfaraz was out or not. A few users on social media felt Sarfaraz was not out as the ball made no connection with his bat. However, with no UltraEdge due to the unavailability of DRS technology, there was no review of the decision and Sarfaraz had to walk back to the pavilion.
