The 13-year-old gamer, who is famously known as “blue scuti,” shared the video of his incredible achievement on his YouTube channel.

New Delhi: Whenever someone hears the word ‘Tetris,’ they immediately go down memory lane, as it was one of the most popular games during the childhood of all the 90s and early-born people.

The anxiety of waiting for the perfect piece and the satisfaction of completing a line, to comparing your highest score with your friends, and getting envious or proud depending on the results it was all some of the best feelings of everyone whose childhood was graced by this legendary game.

However, one thing that was common for everyone was the notion that beating the game was meant to be near impossible as, at one point, everyone hits the upper wall of the game, marking the end of the game.

However, the fact was turned into a myth by a 13-year-old, Willis Gibson, who became the first-ever player to reach the kill screen of the game a couple of days back.

Who is Willis Gibson?

Willis Gibson is a 13-year-old teenager from Oklahoma, USA, who is famous on YouTube by his gaming name, “blue scuti,” and has a YouTube channel of the same name.

Gibson, through his YouTube channel shares video of him playing games like Tetris, Mario, Rocket Arena and many more.

Gibson, according to his channel history, specializes in arcade gaming and has been uploading videos since 2019, when he was only 9 years old.

In his latest video, Gibson managed to reach the top score of 999999 in his 45-minute session of Tetris, effectively becoming the first person ever to reach the ‘Kill Screen’ of the retro Arcade game.

Is Willis Gibson actually the first one to beat Tetris?

According to the reports from the New York Times, the president of Classic Tetris Championship, Vince Clemente, Willis Gibson, is actually the first person to reach the kill screen of the famous game.

Clemente said that the fact of beating the game seemed impossible two days ago, as according to popular beliefs, the game becomes too fast after level 29 for a human brain to react, making the required trick to perform rather impossible.
