New Delhi: In the Women’s World Cup 2022, today the Indian team is facing West Indies in their third match. This match is being played at Seiden Park in Hamilton, New Zealand.
Captain Mithali Raj won the toss and decided to bat first and set a big target. Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur have batted amazingly in the match.
Both have scored centuries in the match against West Indies. Harmanpreet completed her century in 100 balls. This is the fourth century of her ODI career.
At the same time, this is his third century in the ODI World Cup. Harmanpreet scored the first century in the World Cup against England in 2013.
She scored the second century in the World Cup against Australia in 2017. This is the third time that two batsmen of the Indian women’s team have scored centuries in a match.
On the other hand, Mandhana got out after scoring her fifth century in ODIs and second in the World Cup.
She batted well and did not cut any slack to the West Indies bowlers. Mandhana completed her century in 108 balls. She further hit some aggressive shots. In her innings, Mandhana hit 13 fours and two sixes.
The team made 295 runs in 47 overs for the loss of five wickets. Mandhana shared a partnership of 184 runs with Harmanpreet Kaur.
