New Delhi: The inaugural edition of one of the biggest sports leagues in the world, Women’s Premier League 2023, is set to begin on March 4. With a lot of excitement, post-ICC Women’s T20 World Cup has set the stage for the WPL. Five teams will be competing over the span of 22 games for the trophy.
Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur and her deputy Smriti Mandhana will be leading Mumbai Indian and Royal Challenger Bangalore respectively. Australian skipper Meg Lanning and openers Beth Mooney and Alice Capsey will be leading Delhi Capital, Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz respectively.
Star batter Mandhana topped the auction with Rs 3.40 crore and it showed that the fans are up for something grand this time.

The teams will play two games against each other. The finals of the inaugural WPL will be played on March 26, Sunday.

When and where to watch WPL 2023?
The games will be telecasted on Sports 18 network and will be available for free streaming on Jio Cinema. Reliance Jio bought the broadcasting rights of WPL 2023 and decided to stream this season for free on Jio Cinema app. The first game between Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians will begin on March 4 at 7: 30 pm.
