India on Tuesday won the final Test of the three-match series by an innings and 202 runs to whitewash South Africa 3-0 at JSCA Stadium Complex here.

In the 3rd and final Test of the series, South Africa suffered their one of their biggest ever defeats as they were bundled out for 133 after India enforced the follow-on for the 2nd successive time in the series.

India resumed play from 224/3 on Day Two of the third Test match against the Proteas. Riding on the confidence from the previous day, both Rohit and Ajinkya Rahane played their natural game and didn't allow the Proteas' bowlers to settle down.

India resumed their innings from 273/3 on day two. Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane continued their partnership and built a massive stand of 178 runs for the fourth wicket.

So far, she has played 204 ODI matches and has smashed 6731 runs with an astonishing average of 51.38. The 36-year-old cricketer has also played 89 T20Is and has amassed 2364 runs.

A fan asked Neesham for his views on Sharma's performance in the first Test and the all-rounder replied: "I think it's fair to say he's started ok".

India and South Africa will next take on each other in the second Test, slated to begin from October 10.
