At present, the active cases are 6,19,088 which account for 29.64 per cent of total positive cases. Such persons are under medical supervision either at hospitals or in home isolation.

This means that more and more COVID-19 patients are getting cured and discharged. On 10th June 2020, for the first time, the total number of recovered patients exceeded the active cases with a difference of 1,573 which has increased to 5,77,899 as on today.

Dr. Harsh Vardhan said, “Out of the total Active Cases, only 0.28% patients are on Ventilators, 1.61% Patients needed ICU support and 2.32% are on Oxygen support”.

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that a record 4,20,898 smples were tested for coronavirus within 24 hours. So far, laboratories have conducted 1,58,490,68 tests in the country.

The country now has the capacity to test 3 lakh samples per day. The total number of samples tested thus far is 59,21,069 with 1,54,935 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
