New Delhi: Enhancing the iPhone experience for its users, Apple is set to roll out new iOS 16 update today, i.e. on Monday globally.
Apple said that iOS 16 enhances iPhone with all-new personalisation features deeper intelligence and more seamless ways to communicate and share. New update is available from September 12.
Explaining the users about how to back up with iCloud, Apple Support shared a brief video on its social media handle with caption, “Getting ready to upgrade to iOS 16? Make sure you back up your iPhone before you do. Here’s how to turn on iCloud Backup for an easy way to keep your data secure”.

The company confirms, “Apple tends to push software updates out at around 10am ET (i.e. 10:30 PM IST)”.

Supported devices
The new update with support older iPhones iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone SE Gen 2, and iPhone SE Gen 3.
iOS 16 will also support newer iPhone models such as iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
New Features
# The update brings a new lock screen interface with support for notification bar, customisable fonts, and widgets.
# iPhone users will be able to undo or edit their texts within 15 minutes of sending it via iMessage. Users will also be able to recover their messages in a span of 30 days till deletion.
# The fresh update brings revolutionary change to the Apple Maps which will now also show various parameters including the temperature of the vehicle, speed variations and more.
# iCloud Photo Library will enable users to share pictures amongst family or freinds by only moving it to a dedicated folder.
# iOS 16 also comes with Live captions and Live Text quick actions.
