New Delhi: The release date for iOS 17.1 has been revealed by France’s national frequency agency, the Agence Nationale Des Fréquences (ANFR).
A recent statement by ANFR has already disclosed the update’s release date, even though the firm has yet to make an official announcement. ANFR claims that customers may get their hands on iOS 17.1 as soon as October 24.
As a reaction to the concerns voiced by regulators in France over high electromagnetic radiation emissions, Apple has agreed to upgrade the iPhone 12. In addition, sales of the gadget have been temporarily suspended in France because it was found to generate an excessive amount of electromagnetic radiation.

According to a new post on the website of the ANFR, the tech giant has developed a software update, and the ANFR has validated it because it effectively makes it possible to bring the localised SAR “member” back into compliance with the regulatory limit of 4 W/kg. The post also states that the ANFR has already validated the update.
Apple has sent this update to a select group of consumers who volunteered for testing over the last several days; mainly the beta testers. The business has committed to making this software update available to all iPhone 12 customers in France as soon as possible and no later than the 24th of October.

Apple, dealers, and operators will be given the go-ahead to resume iPhone 12 sales as soon as iOS 17.1 is released.
New Features
MacRumors says that the iOS 17.1 update will include several improvements, including a revamped Music app, improved AirDrop, and a new Standby mode.
Music App Update
Users will soon be able to star their favourite tracks, albums, playlists, and artists with the next update. The chosen titles will be added to their collection, and Apple’s suggestions will be enhanced as a result. If you have a lot of favourites by one artist, Apple could start suggesting more of that artist’s work to you.
New AirDrop Features
The new “Out of Range” feature in AirDrop will enable users to transmit and receive files across devices that are not close distance to one another. With more space between them, Wi-Fi or cellular data will be used to finish the file transmission.
Connected Cards
With the next update, apple users in the United Kingdom will be able to connect debit and credit cards from specified banks to Apple’s Wallet app. Without even opening the banking app, they can check their most recent dealings and account balances. This is a practical method of monitoring costs and budgeting effectively.
Devices with iOS 17.1
All iOS 17-compatible iPhone models, from the XR to the 15 Pro Max, will get the iOS 17.1 upgrade.
