New Delhi: Artificial intelligence (AI) has been one of the most fascinating and rapidly growing fields of technology for the last few years.

Major firms, companies, and global tech giants including Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and OpenAI have already Introduced AI into their systems and are actively investing in its enhancement and development.

As per the latest reports, one of the biggest tech companies in the world Google has joined hands with a dedicated AI company called Character.AI in which it is planning to invest over a hundred million dollars.

The company, established by two of Google’s ace former employees Noam Shazeer and Daniel De Freitas, has developed an AI chatbot that lets you talk to the virtual versions of celebrities and popular figures from movies, gaming, and history like William Shakespeare, Mario, Giga chad and more.

Google to invest in Character.AI?

According to a recent report published by Reuters, Google is preparing to invest a large chunk of money in the startup Character.Ai initiated by its two former employees. While the US-based MNC is already in partnership with the company, the likely investment is going to further nourish this partnership between the two.

The report also claimed that not many details about the project have been revealed so far and we will have to keep patience to know more about it.

Speak with celebrities on Character.AI

Speaking of Characters.AI, the AI company has developed futuristic chatbots with striking features that allow users to interact with the virtual version of their favorite celebrities.

With the help of these bots, people can tailor personalized chatbots and assistance that resemble the personality of the desired celebrity. While the chatbots are free to use for all, they also offer a premium service that lets one access them without a virtual line.

Interestingly, data shared by Similarweb shows that Character.AI’s chatbots specifically attract the young adult (18-24) age group audience which contributes to about 60 percent of the traffic on its website.

This shows that the company’s chatbots and personalized AI companions are appealing to the youth more than the chatbots offered by other major AI-based companies like OpenAI’s Chat GPT and Google’s Bard.

Previously, Google also rolled out another exciting and helpful AI feature for its audience. It lets users check out discounted deals from various brands and retailers on a single AI-based page. This will allow online shopping enthusiasts to see all the trending offers on a single platform and compare them side by side before making a final choice about buying them.

Informing about the same, Google took to their blog and wrote, “A dedicated deals page now organizes millions of promotions from thousands of brands and retailers in one place, while new features in Chrome and Search can help you easily keep an eye on prices.”

“Today, we’re launching a new deals destination on Search that helps you find on-sale products from across the web all in one spot” the blog read further.

In the same blog post, the tech giant company further revealed that the deals and offers reflected by their AI-powered feature will be from a wide range of products from every category including beauty products, toys, electronics, accessories, etc. Additionally, users will also have the option to look for deals belonging to any particular category of products by using filters.

To try out this feature on a new page, you would need to type “Shop deal” in your Google search bar. This will lead you to a separate page that displays all products and from there, you can search for something specific by writing “shop” and adding the name of the particular product you are looking for right next to it.
