New Delhi: Mukesh Ambani held the virtual Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries on August 29. The meeting with shareholders lasted for over one and a half hours. In the meeting, the chairman of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani made a few big announcements related to a 5G network. Ambani said that Reliance has planned to expand its 5G network to each and every town, tehsil and talukas across the country by December 2023.
The initial launch of the 5G service will most probably take place during Diwali this year. Besides this, Reliance Jio has confirmed to bring a new 5G smartphone to the market.

Reliance Jio 5G phone features
It is believed that the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 480 processor that offers a speed of 2GHz. It will run on the Android 12 operating system. Moreover, the phone is expected to come with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with corning Gorilla Glass Protection, and anti-fingerprint coating. Under the hood, the buyers may get a 3,500mAh battery, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB type C charging port.
On the storage front, the device would come with 4GB of RAM and a 32GB internal storage facility with an external card slot facility of 512GB. On the camera front, Reliance is likely to provide a 13-megapixel shooter and an 8-megapixel front camera.
Reliance Jio 5G phone price
According to the reports, the Jio 5G phone will come by the next year. This is bad news for the fans of Reliance who have been expecting the phone this year.
As for as the price is concerned, there are many 5G phones available in the market at around the price of Rs 20,000. But, it is said to be that Reliance will launch the phone between the price bracket of Rs 11,000 to 15,000.
