WhatsApp introduces the long-awaited “Favourites” tab for its users; Here’s how you can install it

Whatsapp has finally introduced the long-awaited ‘favourites’ tab for its users which is expected to be available in the coming weeks.

New Delhi: Whatsapp finally introduces the long-awaited ‘favourites’ tab for its users. The new update which will be available shortly for users will allow users to change their favourite contacts in both chat and call options. WhatsApp’s new update is expected to roll out soon in the coming weeks. Some users might get this update soon while others may expect some latency in the same.

The news was first broken by the company in its official X (formerly Twitter) handle where it remarked ‘it’s okay to play favourites’. Interestingly, this is the first time the company has come up with such a feature which according to WhatsApp is a form of ‘speed dial’ for chats and calls.

The company said in a post to explain the latest update by posting, “Starting today, you can quickly find the people and groups that matter most at the top of your calls tab and as a filter for your chats.” It remains to be seen whether the plans of WhatsApp to increase the swiftness within its interface is achieved or not?
