New Delhi: Smartphone brand Xiaomi has finally launched its much-awaited 12S series in the domestic market. The company has unveiled its smartphones named Xiaomi 12S, 12S Pro, and 12S Ultra under the series. All three phones were introduced in China at an event held on Monday.
The newly launched smartphones have been equipped with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor which was earlier launched this year in May. The most interesting fact about the series comes in the form of Leica camera support available with Xiaomi 12S Ultra, Xiaomi 12S Pro, and Xiaomi 12S.
Apart from the mobile phones Mi Smart Band 7 Pro has also been launched in the event.

Xiaomi 12S Ultra
The phone has MIUI 13 with a 6.73-inch 2K AMOLED micro curved display and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The brightness of the display is 1,500 nits.
There is support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+ with the display. 12S Ultra comes with LTPO technology for the best display experience and is powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of storage.
The 12S Ultra has three rear cameras with the primary lens being a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 sensor with support for optical image stabilization (OIS). The second and third lens is 48 megapixels ultra wide angle. A 32-megapixel front camera will be available with Xiaomi 12S Ultra.
For connectivity, the phone has 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, IR Blaster, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC and USB Type-C port. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor along with a heart rate monitor.
The Xiaomi 12S Ultra packs a 4860mAh battery with support for 50W wireless charging and 10W wireless charging with 67W wired charging. The phone has got IP68 rating for water resistance. The starting price for the phone is 5,999 Chinese Yuan i.e. around Rs 70,700.
Xiaomi 12S Pro
It has a 6.73-inch 2K AMOLED micro curved display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The brightness of the display is 1,500 nits. Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of storage is provided along with Gorilla Glass Victus support on the display.
The 12S Pro has three rear cameras in which the primary lens is a 50-megapixel Sony IMX707 sensor, along with 32 megapixel front camera.
For connectivity, the smartphone comes with 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, IR blaster, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC and USB Type-C port. The starting price of 12S Pro is 4,699 Yuan i.e. around Rs 55,400.
Xiaomi 12S
The 12S has MIUI 13 along with 6.28-inch display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, with a brightness of the display being 1,100 nits. The 12S packs a 4600mAh battery with support for 50W wireless charging and 10W wireless charging with 67W wired charging. It holds a IP68 rating for water resistance. The starting price of 12S is 3,999 Chinese Yuan i.e. around Rs 47,100.
