New Delhi: All bride fantasizes about marrying the love of their life. Unfortunately, a bride was shot dead at her wedding ceremony in Mathura’s Mubarikpur village of Naujheel area on Friday, apparently by her ‘jilted’ lover. The newlywed, Kajal, was shot dead shortly after her ‘Jai Mala’ rite ended at the location, as per Hindu customs. According to reports, the suspect was in a relationship with the woman and was irritated by her marriage to another man. Family members and relatives hurried to the scene of the occurrence after hearing the sound of the bullet. The victim’s teary-eyed father, Khubi Ram Prajapati, stated, “After ‘Jai Mala,’ my daughter went to her room to freshen herself when she was fatally shot by an unknown assailant. I’m not sure how this happened! The victim’s father went to the police station shortly after the incident to file a report.
