One of the main reasons for the show being in the spotlight is the controversy about Youtuber Armaan Malik with both of his wives Payal and Kritika inside the house.

Armaan is quite famous on social media for staying together with Payal and Kritika under the same roof. As the trio entered the Anil Kapoor-hosted show, the audience reacted negatively and blamed the show for promoting polygamy in the name of entertainment.

Recently, a promo featuring Armaan’s first wife, Payal Malik, was shared on Jio Cinema. It shows Payal, bursting into tears while recalling her husband’s affair with her best friend, Kritika.
When Payal was asked about the incident by her fellow contestants in BB OTT 3, she broke down. The singer explained that Armaan and Kritika called her one day and said there was good news for her. She also added that she asked them directly whether they got married.
Later, Munisha Khatwani asked the 30-year-old artist, if she felt cheated when her best friend Kritika married Armaan. While replying to this, Payal broke down in tears. She stated, “‘Ek din main bahar thi aur ye dono the kahin saath mein inhone baat kari hogi aapas mein ke shaadi karte hain toh us ne (Kritika) bhi keh diya ke karte hain. Ye dono shaadi karke aagaye. Mere paas phone aaya Arre Payal ek na khushkhabri deni hai, Main inki harr ek cheez samaih jaati hoon. Maine kaha tumne shadi kar li? (Once I was away from home and both of them (Armaan & Kritika) were together somewhere, they may have talked about marrying each other. So she (Kritika) also said let’s do it. Both of them got married and called me to say there’s good news for you. I understand everything about them. I said you got married?)”
Armaan and Kritika’s reaction
As Payal cried, Armaan and his second wife, Kritika rushed towards her to calm her down. At the same time, her husband was heard saying that it has been seven years since this and asked her “Ab toh tu khush hai na? (Now you are happy, right?)” He also added “Now I feel as if these two (Payal and Kritika) are married.
Later Kritika said that Payal always gets emotional whenever she recalls the incident. Ranveer Shorey was also heard praising Payal that she had a big heart as she accepted Armaan’s second marriage.
