New Delhi: Team India has suffered a major blow for their upcoming Asian Games 2023 campaign in Cricket, as their pace bowling spearhead Shivam Mavi has been ruled out of the tournament due to an undisclosed injury. Yash Thakur, who was named on the standby list, was supposed to take Mavi’s place. However, the Vidarbha-based pacer is himself suffering from a back injury and won’t be medically cleared to compete. Now, according to the reports, the express speedster Umran Malik is all but set to replace Mavi in the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led Indian squad for the upcoming Asian games in Hangzhou, China.
