ICC ODI World Cup: Who are likely players to make it to Final 15?

BCCI will have to give a 15 member squad before September 5 to ICC.

New Delhi: BCCI is going to announce a 15-member squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup on September 3, a day after India’s much-anticipated opening clash against arch rivals Pakistan in Asia Cup.

BCCI sent a 17-member squad for the Asia Cup which is also seen as the final big match training for the team India players. However, they have to send a 15-member squad for the ODI World Cup.

The addition of any players other than the existing squad members seems like a highly unlikely situation until someone from the squad met with an injury.

However, two members of the existing squad will not be able to make it to the grandest stage of them all.

There are a number of players who can actually leave the squad but, the most likely names seem to be debutant Tilak Varma, who is in India’s Asian Games Squad, and Prasidh Krishna, who was added as a backup bowler for the returning Jasprit Bumrah.
