New Delhi: Amid its growing digital market presence, ONDC or Online Network for Digital Commerce has been becoming an internet sensation for some time now. It serves people with their needs at a much less price compared to other digital commerce platforms like Zomato and Swiggy. The government-sponsored app was started as a non-profit firm under the quality council of India. ONDC has been motivated to ease the market presence for smaller brands who are often overshadowed by big brands. It was introduced for local sellers to compete and allure a widened customer base. The ONDC app can be accessed through Paytm for all essential items. Almost around 8 states hold its active version, while the beta version has been launched in just two states, Delhi and Bangalore, for now.
