Fact Check: Luxurious interior of jet shown as PM Modi’s official aircraft, Cong’s false claims debunked

New Delhi: Call it a deliberate plan or political opportunism by Congress, this appears to be a clear attempt to score political points by portraying false image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Madhya Pradesh Congress MLA Jitu Patwari today shared a photograph of a private aircraft on Twitter and claimed it to be inside view of PM Modi’s official aircraft. He says though Railways are being sold to private operators but the Prime Minister is travelling in luxurious aircraft.

In his Twitter post Patwari said, “Even though the PM comes from a tea seller background, he will make India a world leader only if we give him better facilities.”

Cong leader shared fake pics, here is the truth

PIB was quick to reject his claims, which tweeted, “The photo is of a private Dreamliner model by Boeing 787 and not of PM’s aircraft.”

While doing Google image search of the photograph shared by Patwari, one found that it has been shared on multiple websites like Pinterest and Airmagz and is a modified private Boeing 787 Dreamliner jet.

Not just this, a few other Congress handles on Facebook also shared this false image and claimed it to of Prime Minister.
