New Delhi: Former US President Donald Trump’s first wife Ivana Trump died of ‘blunt impact injuries to her torso’, confirmed the New York City’s chief medical officer on Friday.
Though the statement issued by the examiner does not reveal any further details, the US police have been probing if Ivana died after falling from the staircase of her Manhattan residence.
NYC Police Department’s spokesperson told news portal AFP on Thursday that cops had rushed to Ivana Trump’s residence on the Upper East Side after receiving a call. “The police team found her unconscious and unresponsive”, he added in an emailed statement.
“She was declared dead on the spot and there appeared no sign of any criminality”, the statement further read.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump remembered Ivana on Thursday calling her an “amazing, beautiful and wonderful woman who led a great and inspirational life”.
Ivana shared three children with Trump named Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric Trump.
Who was Ivana Trump?
Ivana was a Czechoslovakia native who grew up under communist rule and was a fashion model by profession. She had married Donald Trump in 1977, who was then a real state worker.
Donald and Ivana were among New York’s top high-profile couples during the 80s, well renowned for their lavish and flashy lifestyle. The couple had their first child Donald Jr. a year after their marrige, while Ivanka was born in 1981, followed by Eric in 1984.
Ivana played major roles in Trump’s real state business and went on to enjoy her own empire in clothing, jewelry and beauty industry after their split.
