Even world leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and EU chief Ursula Von Der Leyen, paid tribute to the late king.

Charles, the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II, succeeded his mother as the next monarch of Britain shortly after her death. Royal officials are aware of this now that he will be known as King Charles III.
