New Delhi: Police arrived at former Pakistan PM Imran Khan’s residence at Zaman Park in Islamabad. Some reports suggest that the police is not there to arrest him in the Toshakhana case. PTI workers also gathered at Imran Khan’s residence after the arrival of the police.

According to reports, the court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case. Meanwhile, the warrant dates March 7.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf shared some tweets asking their workers to approach Khan’s residence for a protest. The party asked the workers to unite at the Zaman Park residence and stand against the Pakistan government.
PTI Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry also tweeted that arresting Imran Khan will push the country further into chaos. He also called the government ‘incompetent and anti-Pakistan’.

Meanwhile, Islamabad Police said that they have reached to arrest Imran according to the court orders. They added that all operations are being done with the cooperation of Lahore Police and legal action will be taken against those obstructing the execution of court orders. In another tweet, the police said that Imran Khan is reluctant to arrest and is not in his room.

In the Toshakhana case, Imran Khan and his wife were alleged to have received gifts, including luxury watches, jewellery, designer handbags and perfumes, during trips abroad. As per the law, government officials must declare all gifts to Cabinet Division and there is a value cap attached to the gifts allowed to be kept.
