
New Delhi: Pakistan’s Asma Shafique thanked the Indian embassy in Kyiv and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for evacuating her.
She was rescued by Indian authorities and is enroute to Western Ukraine for further evacuation out of the country.
According to sources, she will be reunited with her family soon.

Earlier, India had evacuated Bangladeshi national, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
Also, MEA had informed on Tuesday that it had evacuated all Indian students from Ukraine’s Sumy.
On Tuesday (March 8) over 410 Indians were brought back by the special Civilian flights from Ukraine’s neighbouring countries by 2 special civilian flights from Suceava.
