Seoul salutes doctors

Hundreds of drones lit up the night sky South Korean capital, Seoul, for a spectacular showcase of motivational and awareness messages even as the fight against Covid-19 pandemic continues.

The sky was lit up with signs indicating wearing masks, washing hands and keeping a two-metre distance from others.

The image of a mask surrounded by coronavirus particles, quickly shuffled to form two hands and water droplets against the night sky. A mask-wearing male and a mask-wearing female was also created to promote social distancing.

300 unmanned drones create magic in the sky

Three hundred unmanned drones were programmed to form images above the Han river in Seoul for a show held on Saturday, July 4.

“Thanks to you,” the drones wrote in the sky next to a heart shape, before forming a silhouette of the Korean Peninsula with the message: “Cheer up, Republic of Korea.”

The 10-minute show put out messages of gratitude for frontline medical personnel who have been tirelessly working amid the pandemic.
