
New Delhi: Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa had to leave his residence after angry protesters surrounded his official residence in Colombo on Saturday. It is reported that the protesters stormed his residence and their demand is that Rajapaksa should resign from his post. They also chanted slogans demanding his resignation amid the economic crisis.
A few videos are also widely being shared online, showing people misusing government properties. A viral video also shows people having a bath in the swimming pool. Some people can also be seen waving the official flag of Sri Lanka at the top of the building.
