
New Delhi: The Royal family of Britain on Saturday confirmed that the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II will take place on September 19 at Westminster Abbey. Meanwhile, the Queen will lie-in-state in Westminster Hall for four days. The Royal family added that the public will be allowed to pay their last respects to Queen.

The Queen died on September 8 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland at the age of 96. The royal family announced her death online but it did not reveal any cause. However, it said that Queen died peacefully.
After her death, her eldest son Charles has taken the throne as King Charles III. On Saturday, Charles III was proclaimed the new monarch of England.
On the death of her mother, Charles wrote, ”The death of my loved mother, her majesty the Queen, is the moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family.
On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed on Twtitter that he spoke to the new UK PM Liz Truss and exchanged views on further strengthening the India-UK comprehensive Strategic Partnership in all sectors.
He further added that he also conveyed his condolences on the demise of Queen Elizabeth II.
