Viral Video: Australian reporter fights with mosquito, ends up slapping her face on National TV

New Delhi: In a bizarre incident that occurred in Australia, a female news journalist Andrea Crothers slapped her face on national television while reporting about the recent flood situation in Brisbane.

Later, it was learned that Andrea, who was doing coverage for Today Show at the time of the happening, was trying to get rid of a mosquito who came way too close for comfort with her face but ended up embarrassing herself on live TV instead. A video of the hilarious incident also went viral on the internet.

In the viral video, Andrea who is seen engaged in live media coverage about the Brisbane floods, is seen getting taken by surprise when a wild mosquito flies towards her & slams against her left cheek. The unexpected attack leaves the actress’ confused as she gets scared and throws her hands at her face to make the annoying insect fly away.

However, to her bad luck, the reporter’s bad timing causes her to miss the mosquito & she ends up blowing a tight slap on her own face instead. Visibly taken aback by the unpleasant happening, she then immediately walked away from the camera while throwing her arms in frustration as the mosquito continued to annoy her by circling her face.

Meanwhile, Andrea’s colleagues, who watched the ordeal from the studio, also failed to stop themselves from making fun of her situation as they burst out in laughter & started teasing her with humorous remarks. Commenting on the incident, the show’s host Karl Stefanovic said that these are the dangers they go through to bring news to their audience sitting at home.
